Frequently Asked Questions
Why a Student Event Center?
HC Students have never had a dedicated place of their
own and this would allow for that. It would be a place that would be designed specifically for them to play and get more engaged. It will also be used for church wide special events, allowing for less turnaround of the sanctuary.

Where will the new building be located?
It will be located on the North side of the Ministry Center.
How big will this building be?
It will be 8,000 sqft.
When do you plan to break ground?
We will vote and the likely timeframe to start will be spring of
2027.
2027.
When will the building be complete and functional?
Once ground is broken we anticipate full construction to take 8-10 months. The FFE (Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment) could take a little longer past completion because of cash flow pledges and/or lead times on certain pieces.
What architect are you using?
Graham Designs in Tulsa.
How much will it cost?
The cost will be $2.5 million. Good News is $1.4M has already been raised towards this project.
How do we know $2.5M is a good goal?
We have created the best true estimate through experienced construction industry professionals that we have access to and are a part of the church body.
It’s a 2 year pledge - can I give the entirety of the pledge in the final month of year two?
Yes. It is helpful to know that intent up front so we can plan cash flow during construction.
Could I spread my pledge over 3 years instead of 2?
Of course, however for cash flow to manage construction we need to apply all that you anticipate in the two year window and then the remaining could help with a possible small loan needed to complete or be rolled into the next phase of our development as a church.
Can I give something besides cash?
Yes, but we will need to know the specifics as we will have
to run it by our Gift Acceptance Policy as well as the partners who can help us either manage or liquidate the asset.

Will there be any changes or updates to the existing worship center?
This building project is specifically for the Student Event Center. Phase 2 is in the works updating the existing building at a later time. Any excessive funds raised for this project will go directly to the Phase 2 budget.
